Promax adds Europe to global expansion


Australian Trade Promotions solutions specialist, Promax, has taken another major step to becoming a global software company with the expansion of operations into Europe.

Promax has provided trade promotion planning, management, and optimisation solutions to some of Australia and New Zealand's leading Consumer Goods Companies such as Mars, L'Oreal, Heinz, Johnson & Johnson, Sara Lee, Goodman Fielder, Clorox and many others for more than 20 years.

The company has undertaken more than 12 months of intensive product re-engineering and technical development, and according to Managing Director Don Nicol, Promax is 'global ready'.

Nicol said that throughout 2007 Promax engaged a number of key international industry representatives to critically analyse the Promax suite of products.

"The process reinforced our belief that the Promax products provide an outstanding solution when compared to others in the international marketplace. We're now very confident that our products have the potential for a greater international presence."

"Most importantly, our customers who operate globally are asking us to do the same. They have recognised our solution as being critical to their business, and want a solution like ours available to all of their people. This gives us great confidence for our ongoing plans." Mr Nicol explained.

The European operation is headed by Gareth Brentnall, the co-founder of supply chain specialist, Mercia Software.

Brentnall played a pivotal role in developing Mercia into a global software company, and has developed and implemented trade solutions software for a number of major organisations including J&J, GM, Heinz, Oriflame, Smurfit Stone and Ciba.

"Not only does Gareth have outstanding experience in delivering software enabled business solutions, he also has a thorough understanding of the challenges and opportunities for Promax to be an international leader in the trade promotions solutions industry."

Nicol said that the establishment of Promax Europe was the first in a series of significant developments that will continue to position Promax as the leading provider of Trade Promotions Solutions to the Consumer Products Industry.
